Last Thursday, over 500 guests gathered at The Fermenting Cellar to celebrate the relaunch of Globe Media Group. Now reaching 21 million Canadians with the addition of the Globe Alliance portfolio, the evening served as a fun introduction (and reintroduction) to the Globe Media Group’s multi-platform offerings and expansive network of world-class brand partnerships. Guests were treated to a discovery of five interactive areas within the event, inspired by the key content pillars of the Globe Media Group, including:
NEWS & BUSINESS: a cheeky cash grab machine that allowed guests the chance to win a custom pocket circle, sewn on-site by local designer Philip Sparks
FASHION & BEAUTY: a pop-up nail bar by King West outlet, Her Majesty’s Pleasure, along with custom digital fashion illustrations set against a backdrop of photo outtakes from the latest issue of Style Advisor magazine
MEN’S LIFESTYLE: the ultimate man cave featuring ping pong, foosball and a scotch tasting bar
HOME & DESIGN: a flower market with take home bouquets, alongside a red velvet dessert bar
ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT: music by Toronto DJs, The Gillespie Brothers, followed by a special performance by electropop band, Brave Shores
A massive wall projection also pulled over 60+ Twitter newsfeeds within the Globe and Globe Alliance portfolio and offered real-time updates over the course of the evening so that guests would stay informed on the latest while celebrating the night away.
