Each year, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity plays host to the world’s advertising, marketing and creative thought-leaders as they compete for creative gold on the global stage. Considered the ‘Olympics of advertising’, the Festival reviewed over 41,000 entries this year to award 1,471 Lions. Canada had a record year in 2017, bringing home 44 Lions and 107 shortlist mentions. Canada was also represented in the jury rooms with 8 Canadian advertising and marketing professionals serving on this year’s juries.
